Used a bungee round each box to hold em. The cappings have a number of holes pre-drilled, so I hooked the ends of the bungees into them. The bungees seem plenty strong enough to hold the boxes still, even when fully laden.

Rough Tote Boxes
Bought a couple of Rough Tote boxes from B&Q. These fit nicely atop the wheel boxes and provide a way to stop stuff rolling about the floor. At about £17.50 each they are not cheap but they are a lot more robust than the previous black plasic crates - these split and fell apart in no time.
